Kilimani Kwetu is a small, cosy, family-style bungalow hotel close to the sleepy fishing village of Bwejuu at the southeast coast of Zanzibar. This is an area far away from mass tourism and it offers the perfect get-away for people seeking a quiet and tranquil piece of paradise.
Kilimani comprises two bungalows, a restaurant and a beach cafe on a large and spacious plot of land reaching right down to the beach. Right from the start we wanted to keep our hotel small to enable us to offer a more personal service to our guests and to create a very relaxing and easy-going atmosphere. Nearly all the members of our small but experienced team come from the local village. This allows you to get a feel for local everyday life on Zanzibar.
As we have lived here for so many years we are able to offer you many interesting tours and activities, including snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, kite surfing, or scuba diving in the fantastic underwater world of the Indian Ocean. Or you can take a tour to the historic world heritage site of Stone Town, discover its warren of alleyways and get a feel for this very historically diverse town. Those who want to tickle their senses will enjoy a visit to a spice plantation on the outskirts of Stone Town.
